The SECO 02620529 is a solid carbide turning insert in the VBMT 221-F1 series, finished with a multilayer PVD TiAlN and TiN coating under the manufacturer grade designation CP500. The insert features a 35-degree diamond shape (V-code) with a positive rake geometry and a sharp cutting edge style. The inscribed circle measures 0.25 inches, the corner radius is 0.0157 inches (1/64 inch), and the insert thickness is 0.1252 inches (1/8 inch). It carries two cutting edges and is held in place by a screw-clamp method. Machinists and CNC lathe operators install this insert on compatible VBMT toolholders for precision turning operations.

This insert is rated primarily for stainless steel (ISO material code M, grades M10, M20, M30) and is also suited for steel, cast iron, and super-alloys including titanium (ISO codes P, K, S).
