The SECO 02615996 is a WNMG 433-MF4 solid carbide turning insert in the TS2500 manufacturer grade, designed for demanding metal-cutting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert carries a multilayer PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating for extended tool life in abrasive and heat-intensive cuts. It features an 80-degree trigon shape with a neutral hand orientation, a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle, and a 0.0472-inch corner radius. With six available cutting edges and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style, this insert delivers consistent performance in high-volume turning applications. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in clamp, pin, or lever-lock toolholders.
This insert is rated primarily for superalloys and titanium (ISO material code S, material grades S10 and S20), with secondary suitability for steel, stainless steel, and cast iron (ISO codes P, M, and K). The MF4 chip breaker geometry is optimized for finishing and medium finishing passes. Multi-use application coverage includes boring, facing, and turning operations. The ISO designation for this insert is WNMG080412-MF4, and the industry standard number is WNMG433-MF4. It conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards.
Designed for use in WNMG-style toolholders that accept a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle trigon insert with clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding. Suitable for CNC lathes and turning centers performing boring, facing, and turning on superalloys, titanium, steel, stainless steel, and cast iron.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts.
