The insert features a 90-degree square shape with a negative rake geometry, a T-Land cutting edge style, and the MR4 chip breaker configuration. With an inscribed circle of 0.6250 inches and a corner radius of 0.0472 inches, the 02615973 delivers controlled chip formation and consistent tool life in demanding turning, facing, and boring operations.
This insert is optimized for cutting superalloys and titanium as its primary workpiece materials, with strong secondary performance on steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. It is suited for both roughing and semi-finishing passes in aerospace, energy, and general machining environments where heat-resistant alloys are common. The neutral hand orientation supports flexible programming on multi-axis CNC equipment. Compatible holding methods include clamp, pin, and lever lock toolholders, making it adaptable to a wide range of insert pocket designs.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine fully stopped and in a safe lockout state before indexing or replacing inserts.
