The SECO 02615961 is a CNMG 643-MR4 series turning insert manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a multilayer PVD TiAlN and TiN coating. Carrying the TS2500 manufacturer grade, this insert is designed for demanding metal-cutting operations where tool life and edge integrity are critical. It features an 80-degree diamond insert shape, a 3/4-inch inscribed circle, and a 3/64-inch corner radius (0.0472 inches). The MR4 chip breaker geometry with a T-land cutting edge style targets high-performance roughing and finishing passes. With four usable cutting edges and a negative rake angle, it delivers stable, repeatable cuts across compatible CNC turning applications.
This insert is primarily intended for machining superalloys and titanium (ISO material code S), with secondary suitability for steel, stainless steel, and cast iron (ISO codes P, M, and K). It supports boring, facing, and turning operations and fits lathes and turning centers using clamp, pin, or lever-lock insert holding methods. The neutral hand orientation makes it suitable for both left- and right-hand toolholders. It conforms to ANSI and ISO standards and carries the ISO designation CNMG190612-MR4. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.

Insert replacement and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before accessing the turret or toolholder. Use the appropriate torque wrench or clamping lever specified by the toolholder manufacturer when seating the insert — do not overtighten by hand estimation. Inspect the insert pocket and contact surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new insert.
