The SECO 02615957 is a CNMG 433-MR4 indexable turning insert engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications. It is manufactured from solid carbide with a multilayer PVD TiAlN and TiN coating and carries the TS2500 manufacturer grade. The insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a 0.5 inch inscribed circle, a 3/64 inch (0.0472 inch) corner radius, and a 3/16 inch insert thickness. With 4 cutting edges, a negative rake geometry, and MR4 chip breaker design, it is suited for roughing and medium machining passes. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists install this insert in compatible toolholders using clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding methods.
This insert is designed for use in turning, facing, and boring operations on CNC lathes and turning centers in both production and job-shop environments. The TS2500 grade and MR4 chip breaker target superalloys and titanium as the primary workpiece material, with strong performance on steel, stainless steel, and cast iron as secondary materials. Grade characteristics span high wear-resistance to high toughness across P, M, K, and S material codes, making this insert adaptable across a broad range of workpiece materials.
