The SECO 02615922 is a WNMG 332-MR3 indexable turning insert in grade TS2000, manufactured from solid carbide with a multilayer PVD TiAlN and TiN coating. The insert features a trigon (W) shape with an 80-degree included angle, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. With 6 cutting edges and a neutral hand orientation, it delivers consistent performance in general turning, facing, and boring operations. The MR3 chip breaker geometry uses a chamfered and honed cutting edge with negative rake, making it well suited for interrupted and continuous cuts in difficult-to-machine materials.
This insert is designed for primary use on stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials (ISO material codes M and S). It also performs on secondary materials including steel, cast iron, and hard materials (ISO codes P, K, and H). The multi-use geometry supports turning, facing, and boring on CNC lathes and turning centers in both production and job-shop environments. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators working to ANSI and ISO tooling standards. The ISO code for this insert is WNMG060408-MR3.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit indexable insert for toolholders accepting WNMG 332 geometry inserts per ANSI and ISO standards. Verify toolholder pocket style before installation to confirm compatibility with clamp, pin, or lever lock retention.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine before indexing or replacing inserts. Use appropriate insert seating tools and handle carbide inserts with care to avoid chipping the cutting edge. Follow ANSI and ISO toolholder torque and clamping specifications for the specific toolholder in use.
