The SECO 02615875 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CCMT series, designed for precision metal cutting in CNC turning centers and manual lathes. It carries a multilayer TiAlN and TiN PVD coating under the TS2000 manufacturer grade, which extends tool life when cutting stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape, a 0.3750-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/64-inch corner radius with a honed cutting edge and positive rake geometry. The F2 chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip evacuation during finishing and light roughing operations. Two cutting edges per insert are available, and the screw-clamping holding method provides rigid, repeatable seating in compatible toolholders.
This insert is suited for boring, facing, and turning operations in production and job-shop environments. Primary workpiece materials include stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium (ISO material codes M and S). Secondary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, K, and H). The CCMT 32.51-F2 geometry and TS2000 grade combination targets finishing to semi-finishing passes where surface finish and edge stability are priorities. This insert is installed by machinists and CNC programmers working to ANSI and ISO tooling standards.

Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's recommended procedure — do not overtighten, as this can crack the insert body. Inspect the insert seat and screw for debris or damage before seating a new insert to ensure proper contact and runout accuracy.
