The SECO 02578593 is a double end neutral indexable cutoff blade engineered for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The blade measures 1.2 inches high, 0.222 inches wide, and 5.91 inches overall length, accepting a 0.25 inch wide insert. It uses a self-grip insert holding method, which keeps the insert secure under the cutting forces generated during parting. Both ends of the blade are usable, extending service life before replacement. It is designed to work within the 150.10 series tooling system and is compatible with ISO-standard inserts and toolblocks.
This blade is suited for parting operations on workpieces up to 5.6 inches in diameter. It is intended for use in production turning environments where consistent groove width and clean cutoff performance are required. The blade fits the 150.10-25 tool block style, making it a direct fit for shops already running 150.10 series holders. Both left-hand and right-hand cutting orientations are supported, giving setup flexibility across different machine configurations. Machinists and CNC operators are the primary users in job shop and production settings.
Compatible with 150.10-6.. series inserts and 150.10-...-25 series tool blocks and toolholders. Insert seat size is 6. MSC/Manufacturer cross-reference number is 150.10A-25-6.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the machine locked out before changing or indexing inserts or removing the blade from the toolblock. Verify insert seating and self-grip retention before resuming cutting operations. Consult the toolholder manufacturer documentation for recommended clamping torque and blade positioning within the toolblock.
