The SECO 02578579 is a double-end neutral indexable cutoff blade designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to Series 150.10A standards, this blade measures 0.843 inches in height, 0.047 inches in width, and 4.72 inches in overall length. It accepts inserts with a minimum width of 0.055 inches and a seat size of 1.4, held in place by a self-grip clamping method. Compatible with a maximum workpiece diameter of 1.4 inches, it is suited for precision cutoff work where consistent blade geometry and secure insert retention are critical. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this blade in production turning environments where clean, repeatable parting cuts are required.
This blade is applied in parting and cutoff operations on small-diameter workpieces up to 1.4 inches. The neutral cutting direction and double-end configuration allow the blade to be used in left-hand or right-hand setups, extending service life by enabling the operator to flip the blade when one end reaches wear. It fits the 150.10-20 tool block style and is designed for use in production shops, job shops, and toolrooms running ISO-standard insert systems. It is particularly well suited to high-volume turning applications where insert change frequency demands a fast, secure grip system.
Compatible with inserts meeting the 150.10-1.4 designation and toolholders or tool blocks in the 150.10-...-20 style family, including the 150.10-20 tool block. Insert compatibility reference: 150.10-1.4. Manufacturer cross-reference number: 150.10A-20-1.4.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the machine placed in a locked-out, de-energized state before blade or insert changes are made. Confirm the blade is fully seated in the tool block and the self-grip mechanism is engaged before resuming cutting operations. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping guidance for the 150.10-20 block to prevent blade movement during parting cuts.
