The SECO 02578577 is a single-end, neutral-cutting indexable cutoff blade designed for parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to Series 150.10A specifications, it measures 0.61 inches high, 0.079 inches wide, and 1.303 inches in overall length. The blade accepts inserts with a minimum width of 0.098 inches and uses a self-grip insert holding method, eliminating the need for separate clamping screws. It is compatible with both left-hand and right-hand orientations, making it a versatile option for shops running mixed turning operations. Installation and changeover are handled by machinists and CNC toolroom technicians.
This cutoff blade is suited for parting and grooving on workpieces up to 1.5 inches in diameter. It mounts in a Series 150.10 tool block, specifically the 150.10-15 style. Typical applications include production turning environments where repeatable cutoff depth and consistent insert seating are priorities. The ISO-compliant design supports insert interchangeability across compatible tooling systems. It is equally applicable in job shop and high-volume production settings where a compact, rigid blade profile is needed for tight clearance cutoff work.

Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician. Before mounting or indexing inserts, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secured in the turret or tool block per the machine manufacturer guidelines. Use clean, dry seating surfaces to ensure proper self-grip insert retention. Do not exceed the maximum workpiece diameter of 1.5 inches, as overloading the blade can cause insert ejection or blade fracture.
