The SECO 02578572 is a single-end, neutral-hand indexable cutoff blade designed for parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The blade measures 0.61 inches high, 0.047 inches wide, and 1.303 inches in overall length, with a minimum insert width of 0.055 inches and an insert corner radius of 0.006 inches. It uses a self-grip insert holding method for secure, tool-free insert indexing. Built to ISO standards, this blade is intended for machinists and toolroom technicians running interrupted or continuous parting cuts on bar stock and chucked workpieces.
This blade is suited for parting and cutoff work on workpieces up to 1.5 inches in diameter. It accepts Series 150.10 inserts at an insert seat size of 1.4 and is compatible with 150.10-15 tool block styles. The neutral cutting direction makes it usable in both left-hand and right-hand setups. Typical applications include production turning, job-shop parting operations, and automated bar-fed lathe cells where consistent, repeatable cutoff performance is required.
Compatible with Series 150.10 inserts at insert seat size 1.4 (complete insert compatibility: 150.10-1.4 series) and tool block and toolholder styles R/L150.10-15 series. Also referenced under MSC/Manufacturer Number 150.10A-15-1.4.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians following the lathe or turning center manufacturer's lockout and tool-change procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all motion is locked out before seating or indexing the blade or insert. Use the appropriate torque specifications from the toolholder manufacturer's documentation when securing the blade to the tool block. Verify insert seating and blade alignment before resuming cutting operations.
