The SECO 02575294 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation LNKT050404PPN4-E05, engineered for high-performance metal removal on non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. The insert features a rectangular shape with a negative rake angle of 23 degrees, a honed cutting edge style, and an E05 chip breaker geometry that helps manage chip flow in demanding milling applications. With four usable cutting edges on a double-sided design, this insert maximizes tool life per unit. It measures 0.3937 inches in length, 0.1969 inches in width, and 0.1850 inches in thickness, and is held in place via screw clamping. It is intended for installation by machinists and tooling technicians in CNC milling operations.
This insert is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and similar milling operations where precision cutting of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper alloys is required, as well as superalloys and titanium. The micrograin carbide substrate and uncoated bright finish make it particularly effective in applications where coating adhesion to the workpiece is a concern or where sharp edge retention in soft or gummy materials is critical. It is compatible with cutter series 335.18 per manufacturer specifications. The neutral hand orientation allows for flexible cutter body application.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer when tightening the clamping screw — do not overtighten, as this may crack the carbide. Inspect the cutter body seat and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating the insert. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and cutter body manufacturer guidelines for insert indexing and torque procedures.
