The SECO 02575281 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI/ISO designation LNKT050416PPTN4-M06 and manufactured to the F40M fine-grain carbide grade. The insert features a rectangular shape with a neutral hand orientation, a negative rake angle of 15 degrees, and a T-Land cutting edge style. Four usable cutting edges are available on this double-sided insert. A PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection suited to demanding milling operations. The insert measures 0.3937 inches in length, 0.1969 inches in width, and 0.1850 inches in thickness, and weighs approximately 0.02 pounds.
This insert is designed for face and shoulder milling applications where steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium are the workpiece materials. It is compatible with the SECO 335.18 cutter series and uses the M06 chip breaker geometry, which balances chip control with cutting-edge strength across a range of depths of cut up to 0.1969 inches. It is held in the cutter body by a screw-clamp method and is suited for use in production machining environments where consistent tool life and repeatable surface finish are priorities. Insert seating and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage before installing a new insert. Seat the insert fully into the pocket before engaging the clamping screw, and do not use damaged or out-of-specification toolholders. Follow the cutter manufacturer's guidelines for screw torque and insert indexing sequence.
