The SECO 02566323 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the manufacturer part designation XOMX120404TR-ME08 in the MK1500 grade. It belongs to the XOMX-12 series and features a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle and a positive rake geometry at 20.1 degrees. The insert is CVD-coated with a TiCN and Al2O3 Duratomic coating, suited for demanding cutting conditions. Two cutting edges are available per insert. The right-hand, single-sided design incorporates a T-Land cutting edge style and ME08 chip breaker. Screw-in holding secures the insert in compatible cutter bodies. The part weighs 0.01 pounds.
This insert is optimized for milling cast iron workpieces, consistent with its K-class primary workpiece material designation. The ME08 chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip flow in cast iron applications where surface finish and tool life stability are priorities. It is suited for use in milling operations on machining centers in industrial and production environments. Machinists and tooling technicians working with cast iron components install this insert in compatible cutter bodies from the R217.69-12 and R220.69-12 series.
Designed for use in R217.69-12 and R220.69-12 series cutter bodies. ANSI and ISO designation XOMX120404TR-ME08 applies. Insert size code 120404 within the XOMX-12 series.
Installation is performed by tooling technicians or machinists following standard insert-change procedures. Ensure the cutter body is secured and spindle power is fully off before replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to the cutter body manufacturer's specified seating procedure when driving the clamping screw. Inspect the insert pocket for wear or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
