The SECO 02566062 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation SEEX09T3AFTN-M08 and manufactured to grade MK1500. The insert features a square shape with a 90-degree included angle, four cutting edges, and a neutral rake and hand orientation. It is coated via CVD with a TiCN and Al2O3 Duratomic coating classification, which delivers wear resistance suited to demanding milling operations. At 0.3750 inches inscribed circle and 0.1563 inches thick, the insert is designed for rigid toolholders in production milling environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators handling cast iron components are the primary users of this insert.
This insert is engineered for cast iron milling applications, classified under primary workpiece material code K. The M08 chip breaker geometry is optimized for the cutting forces and chip control demands typical of gray cast iron, ductile iron, and similar ferrous materials in both roughing and semi-finishing passes. The T-Land cutting edge style adds edge strength for interrupted cuts and hard spots common in cast iron workpieces. It is sold individually but requires a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order.
