The SECO 02565488 is a right-hand DDJN-style indexable turning toolholder designed for external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built from steel and featuring a clamp-lock insert holding method, this toolholder accepts DN..33.. series inserts with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and operates at a negative rake angle of -6 degrees. The 0.75-inch square shank and 4.5-inch overall length make it a standard fit for production and job-shop turning setups. A 93-degree lead angle positions the cutting edge for general-purpose turning across a wide range of workpiece materials. Installation and operation are handled by qualified CNC machinists and turning specialists.
This toolholder is suited for right-hand external turning applications on both production and job-shop lathes. It carries a universal primary workpiece material rating, covering material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, meaning it handles steel, stainless, cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, superalloys, and general-purpose materials. Compatible inserts include DNGA, DNGM, DNGP, DNMA, DNMG, DNMP, and DNMX geometries in the DN..33.. family, giving shops flexibility in insert selection for finishing, semi-finishing, and general turning passes. The toolholder does not include coolant-through capability.
Designed to accept DN..33.. series indexable inserts including DNGA, DNGM, DNGP, DNMA, DNMG, DNMP, and DNMX with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle. Fits standard 0.75-inch square shank tool blocks and turrets on CNC lathes configured for right-hand external turning.
This toolholder is installed and serviced by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is locked or de-energized before changing inserts or mounting the holder. Secure the shank fully into the turret block to the specified clamping depth and verify insert seating before resuming cuts. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool offsets and confirming cutting geometry.
