The SECO 02562811 is an internal, right-hand indexable threading toolholder designed for precision thread-turning operations on CNC lathes and boring applications. Part of the Snap Tap series, it accepts 27NR insert compatibility with a 5/8 inch insert inscribed circle and uses a clamp-style insert holding method. The toolholder is machined from steel and features coolant-through capability to support chip evacuation and extend insert life during internal threading passes. At 16 inches overall length and weighing 19.58 pounds, this is a heavy-duty holder suited for deep-bore threading in production turning environments.
This toolholder is intended for internal threading applications on production CNC turning centers, boring mills, and lathes where right-hand tooling is required. The CN-style holder geometry and 2.343 x 2.429 inch shank cross-section position it for use in large-bore work. The back-of-bar to cutting edge dimension is 2.9 inches, and center to cutting edge measures 1.52 inches, making this suitable for shops running large-diameter internal thread work on steel, cast iron, and similar materials.
Compatible with 27NR series threading inserts with a 5/8 inch inscribed circle. Designed for use in CNC turning centers and lathes equipped to accept a 2.343 x 2.429 inch rectangular shank toolholder in the CN style.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure all machine axes and disable spindle power before mounting or indexing inserts. Verify shank clearance and coolant line routing before engaging coolant-through passages. Follow machine tool manufacturer torque and clamping specifications for the tool block or turret being used.
