The SECO 02554396 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation SNHQ110304TL4-M07 in manufacturer grade F40M. It features a square insert shape with a 90-degree included angle, four cutting edges, and a left-hand cutting orientation. The insert is PVD-coated with a TiAlN and TiN dual-layer finish for wear resistance across demanding milling applications. A negative rake angle of 20 degrees combined with a T-Land cutting edge style provides edge strength when cutting harder workpiece materials. Thickness measures 0.1063 inches and the inscribed circle diameter is 0.4331 inches, placing this insert in the SNHQ-11 series.
This insert is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and general-purpose milling operations in both light and moderate cutting conditions. Primary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Secondary material applications extend to cast iron and non-ferrous metals. The M07 chip breaker geometry is optimized for medium cutting conditions across these material groups. The insert is compatible with the SECO 335.19-11 cutter series and is held in place via screw clamping.
