The SECO 02526689 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation SNHQ120404TR4-M07, grade F30M, designed for use in high-performance milling operations. The insert features a square shape with a 90-degree included angle, a negative rake geometry with a 20-degree rake angle, and a T-Land cutting edge style. It is coated with TiAlN and TiN via a PVD process, providing wear resistance across a range of demanding workpiece materials. With four cutting edges and a right-hand orientation, this insert is suited for production milling applications installed and serviced by machining professionals and tooling specialists.
This insert is designed for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, K, and H. It belongs to the SNHQ-12 series and is compatible with cutter series 335.19-12. The micrograin carbide substrate and PVD coating make it well-suited for both roughing and finishing passes where tool life and edge stability are priorities. Typical applications include face milling and shoulder milling in job shop and production environments.
Designed for use with cutter series 335.19-12 toolholders in the SNHQ-12 series. Rated for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials (ISO material groups P, M, K, and H).
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians following standard indexable insert procedures. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully in the pocket and torque the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before installing a new edge.
