The SECO 02526630 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI/ISO designation SNHQ1204520TR4-M07 in manufacturer grade F40M. It features a square shape with a 90-degree included angle, four cutting edges, and a T-Land cutting edge style with a negative rake angle of 20 degrees. The insert is PVD-coated with TiAlN and TiN for wear resistance and thermal stability during high-demand milling operations. Thickness measures 0.1772 inches with an inscribed circle of 0.5000 inches and a corner radius of 0.0787 inches. It is designed for right-hand cutting and held in the cutter body by screw. This insert is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.
This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium across a range of workpiece material codes P, K, S, and N. It fits within the SNHQ-12 series and is compatible with SECO cutter series 335.19-12. Typical applications include face milling and shoulder milling operations in production environments where consistent edge life and predictable chip control are required. Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician using the screw-clamp holding method standard to SNHQ-series cutter bodies. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully into the pocket and torque the clamping screw per the cutter body manufacturer specification. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating a new edge to prevent micro-fracture at the cutting edge.
