The SECO 02526589 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying manufacturer part number SNHQ110202TR4-M07 and grade designation TP40 (manufacturer grade F40M). It is a square-shaped, single-sided insert engineered for indexable milling cutters in demanding metal-removal applications. The insert features a TiAlN and TiN PVD coating, a negative rake geometry at 20 degrees, and a T-Land cutting edge style. With four usable cutting edges and a maximum depth of cut of 0.0827 inches, it is designed for productive milling on steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. Licensed machinists and CNC milling operators install this insert as part of a cutter body assembly.
This insert is suited for both roughing and semi-finishing milling operations on ferrous metals and difficult-to-machine materials including stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. It mounts using a screw-holding method and is right-hand oriented. The chip breaker designation M07 is optimized for these material groups. Compatible cutter series compatibility is listed as 335.19-11. Typical applications include face milling and shoulder milling operations on CNC machining centers in production or job-shop environments.
Compatible with SECO cutter series 335.19-11. Insert size code 110202 with an inscribed circle of 0.4331 inches. Verify cutter body pocket geometry and screw torque specifications against the cutter body documentation before installation.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer to seat the insert screw to the body torque specification. Inspect the pocket seating surface for chips or burrs before seating a new insert, as debris under the insert will affect runout and edge life.
