The SECO 02511226 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of tight-tolerance features in metalworking applications. Built on the JHF980 series platform, it carries a 3 mm cutting diameter with a 0.2 mm corner radius and a 0.2 mm length of cut. The micrograin carbide substrate is coated with MEGA-T for improved wear resistance and tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The 6 mm cylindrical shank provides rigid interface with standard toolholders. With a right-hand cutting direction and straight flute geometry, this tool is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes in confined or deep-reach scenarios. Licensed machinists and CNC tool setup technicians are the primary users.
This end mill is configured for extended-reach applications, with a 21 mm reach length and a 2.6 mm neck diameter that allows access to deep pockets, narrow slots, and stepped features without toolholder interference. The 60 mm overall length and long-length classification make it well suited for mold and die work, medical component machining, and aerospace part finishing where a standard-reach tool cannot access the feature. The 0-degree helix angle maintains consistent cutting forces along the full flute length on shallow depth-of-cut passes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production tooling option for CNC machining centers and mills using ER or shrink-fit toolholders sized for a 6 mm shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum clamping depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer and confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the 0.2 mm length of cut for which this tool is rated on corner radius engagement.
