The SECO 02511199 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance machining applications. Built on the JHF980 series platform, this single-end tool features a 1.5 mm cutting diameter, a 0.1 mm length of cut, and a 0.1 mm corner radius with a MEGA-T coating for extended tool life in demanding materials. The straight flute geometry and 0-degree helix angle make it well suited for materials where axial cutting forces must be minimized. With a 6 mm cylindrical shank and 40 mm overall length, this tool mounts in standard collet or end mill holders. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in precision manufacturing environments.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers for micro-milling and fine-detail work where small-diameter, short-reach cutting is required. The extended reach design, with a 4.5 mm reach length and 1.2 mm neck diameter, allows access to recessed features without interference. It is appropriate for high-precision work in mold making, die work, and component finishing where corner radius accuracy is critical. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling setups.
Designed as a short-series, single-end corner radius end mill for use in CNC machining centers equipped with standard 6 mm collet or end mill toolholders.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Verify that the toolholder bore is clean and within tolerance before seating the shank. Do not exceed the manufacturer-rated runout tolerance for the holder, as this tool class is sensitive to concentricity error given the small cutting diameter. Confirm proper tool projection and reach clearance before executing the first cut.
