The SECO 02483609 is a TP25 Torx Plus drive cap screw designed for securing indexable inserts in milling toolholders. It functions as a clamping fastener that holds cutting inserts firmly in place during machining operations, resisting the cutting forces generated at the tool-workpiece interface. This screw is compatible with wedge-style clamping hardware and is engineered to the dimensional and torque requirements of the Octo Mill series. Installation and replacement are handled by machinists and tooling technicians performing routine insert changes or toolholder maintenance on CNC milling equipment.
This cap screw is used in metalcutting milling applications where the Octo Mill series toolholder platform is in service. It is suited to production and job-shop environments running face milling or shoulder milling operations. The screw interfaces with the R220.43-07 toolholder and wedge-compatible clamping hardware, making it a direct service part for that specific toolholder style. It is sold individually per package, with a minimum order quantity of 5 units.
Designed for use with the R220.43-07 toolholder in the Octo Mill series, using wedge-style clamping hardware. Compatible with OFE 070405 indexable inserts.
Cap screw replacement is performed by machinists or tooling technicians during scheduled insert changes or after fastener wear is detected. Always power down and lock out the spindle before accessing the toolholder. Use the correct TP25 Torx Plus key and apply only the torque specified in the SECO toolholder documentation for the R220.43-07 series. Do not substitute a standard Torx driver, as the Torx Plus profile requires a matched key to avoid rounding the drive recess.
