The SECO 02483560 is a cap screw designed specifically for indexable tooling systems used in threading operations. It features a T15P Torx Plus drive and an M5 x 0.8 thread size, providing a secure clamping interface between the insert and toolholder. This type of fastener is a critical consumable in CNC turning and threading setups, where consistent clamp force and reliable insert seating directly affect surface finish and tool life. The screw is intended for use by machinists and toolroom technicians maintaining indexable toolholder assemblies in production environments.
This cap screw is compatible with CE..Q and CE..QHD style toolholders and is used to clamp inserts in place during threading operations. Compatible insert sizes include 16 EL and 16 ER threading inserts, with an insert size designation of 187R. It is driven with the T15P-2 key driver. This part is sold individually but must be ordered in multiples of 5 to meet the minimum order quantity requirement.
Compatible with CE..Q and CE..QHD toolholders. Accepts 16 EL and 16 ER threading inserts (insert size 187R). Use with T15P-2 key driver only.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians during insert indexing or replacement. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before servicing any indexable toolholder assembly. Use only the specified T15P-2 Torx Plus key driver to avoid stripping the screw head. Do not reuse a screw that shows signs of thread damage or deformation, as inconsistent clamp force can lead to insert movement during cutting.
