The SECO 02465998 is a solid carbide turning insert in the LCEX series, designed for precision external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. This insert carries the ISO designation LCEX110501-0200R and features a PVD-applied dual coating of TiAlN and TiN for extended wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. It is a right-hand, single-cutting-edge insert with a positive rake angle of 0 degrees and a relief angle of 7 degrees, making it well-suited for controlled, efficient material removal in demanding production environments. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production facilities are the primary users of this insert.
This insert is intended primarily for machining stainless steel, classified under ISO material group M, with secondary suitability for steel, cast iron, and super-alloys including titanium, covering ISO groups P, K, and S. The LCEX series with grade CP500 and material grades M10, M20, and M30 is commonly applied in medium to heavy turning passes where a 90-degree lead angle and screw-holding method provide secure clamping and repeatable positioning. It is a multi-use tool compatible with LCEX-series toolholders in standard production setups.

Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully into the pocket and tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder specification using a calibrated torque driver. Inspect the insert seating surface and pocket for chips or debris before each installation to ensure proper contact and runout control.
