The SECO 02444163 is a single-end solid carbide cutoff insert designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the T350M manufacturer grade with a CVD-applied TiCN and Al2O3 coating for extended tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert features a 0.122 inch cutting width, a neutral lead angle, and a 0.008 inch corner radius. It is held in place by a clamp-style toolholder and is engineered for use in Series 150.10 cutoff systems. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this insert as part of high-production turning setups where consistent cutoff dimensions and chip control are required.
This insert is suited for universal material applications, including steels, stainless alloys, cast irons, and non-ferrous metals in both production and job-shop turning environments. The chipbreaker designation 16 is matched to the Series 150.10 blade and holder system. It is a direct-fit replacement within that system and requires no modification to the toolholder. The insert is packaged individually but must be ordered in multiples of 10.
Designed for use with SECO Series 150.10 cutoff and grooving toolholder systems. Insert Seat Size 3. Clamp-style holding required. Compatible with holders accepting chipbreaker designation 16.
This insert is installed and replaced by machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Inspect the insert seat and clamping blade for damage or debris before seating the new insert. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate specified by the toolholder manufacturer for the Series 150.10 system.
