The SECO 02436167 is a countersunk lock screw designed to secure indexable inserts in turning toolholders. It uses a Torx Plus TP15 drive and an M4.5 thread, providing reliable clamping force to keep cutting inserts seated during turning operations. The countersunk head profile sits flush within the toolholder pocket, preventing interference with chip flow and workpiece clearance. This screw is a small but critical hardware component — a worn or damaged lock screw can lead to insert movement, poor surface finish, and accelerated tool wear. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this type of hardware as part of routine insert indexing and toolholder maintenance.
This lock screw is intended for use in SDJC-style turning toolholders. It is compatible with C04512-T15P insert style and DCMT 432 inserts. The T15P-2 key driver is the correct installation tool for this screw. It is suited to CNC turning centers and manual lathes where SDJC toolholder configurations are in use. Sold individually, this screw is a direct replacement for worn or lost hardware in existing toolholder assemblies.
Designed for SDJC-style turning toolholders. Compatible with C04512-T15P insert style and DCMT 432 indexable inserts. Installation requires the T15P-2 Torx Plus key driver.
Lock screw replacement and insert indexing should be performed with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Use only the specified T15P-2 Torx Plus driver to seat this screw — using an incorrect driver can strip the Torx Plus lobes and compromise clamping integrity. Do not overtighten; follow the toolholder manufacturer torque guidance if available in the toolholder documentation. Inspect the screw threads and toolholder bore threads for damage before reinstalling a new screw.
