Carrying the KX manufacturer grade and an AL chip breaker geometry, this insert features a 35-degree diamond shape (V-code) with a positive rake angle and sharp cutting edge style. The inscribed circle measures 0.375 inches, the corner radius is 0.0079 inches, and the insert thickness is 0.1874 inches. This insert is intended for use on non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, copper, and similar materials. Its AL chip breaker and bright, uncoated carbide substrate are optimized for the low cutting temperatures and higher speeds characteristic of non-ferrous turning. Multi-use applications supported by this insert geometry include back turning, facing, profiling, and general turning.
