The SECO 02430311 is a CCGT-style indexable turning insert engineered for precision metal cutting in demanding machining environments. Built from solid carbide with a multilayer PVD TiAlN and TiN coating, this insert carries the CP500 manufacturer grade and is designed to handle stainless steel as its primary workpiece material. The diamond 80 insert shape provides a strong, versatile cutting geometry. With a 0.3750-inch inscribed circle, a corner radius of 0.0039 inches, and a sharp cutting edge style, it delivers tight tolerances and clean surface finishes. The F1 chip breaker promotes efficient chip evacuation during finishing passes. Two cutting edges are available per insert, and the neutral hand orientation supports flexible toolholder setups.
This insert is suited for boring, facing, and turning operations on stainless steel, steel, cast iron, super-alloys, and titanium. It follows the CCGT insert geometry standard and conforms to both ANSI and ISO specifications. The insert size code is 32.50 with ISO designation CCGT09T301-F1, making it a direct reference for toolholder selection. It is held in place by a screw-clamp method and is appropriate for use in positive-rake toolholders. Machinists and CNC operators working on material grades M10, M20, and M30 will find this insert well-suited for light to medium finishing cuts.

Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians using the appropriate CCGT screw-clamp toolholder. Power down and lock out the machine before indexing or replacing inserts. Use a torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the insert screw. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage before seating a new insert.
