The SECO 02426020 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CPMT-F1 series, designed for precision turning, facing, and boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features an 80-degree diamond shape (insert shape code C) with a neutral hand orientation and a sharp cutting edge style. The CP500 grade insert carries a multilayer TiAlN and TiN PVD coating, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability. The 1/64-inch corner radius and positive rake geometry make it well-suited for finishing and light-to-medium material removal in demanding machining environments. Licensed trades machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this insert.
This insert is primarily rated for stainless steel (ISO material code M, grades M10, M20, M30) and is also suitable for steel (P), cast iron (K), and super-alloys and titanium (S). It supports multi-use applications including boring, facing, and turning. The F1 chip breaker geometry is optimized for consistent chip control across these material groups. The insert is held by screw (insert holding method: screw) and conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards. ISO code is CPMT060204-F1 and the industry standard number is CPMT21.51-F1.
Rated for primary use on stainless steel (ISO M) and compatible with steel (P), cast iron (K), and super-alloys and titanium (S). Designed for CPMT-style screw-clamp toolholders accepting a 0.1142-inch hole diameter insert. Minimum order quantity is 10 inserts; package quantity is 1.
Installation is performed by licensed machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully in the pocket and torque the clamping screw per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edge and seating pocket for chips or debris before clamping to avoid insert rocking and premature edge failure.
