The SECO 02418293 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation XOMX180620TR-M14 in the F40M manufacturer grade. It is a single-sided, right-hand parallelogram-shaped insert with a positive rake angle of 15 degrees and a T-Land cutting edge style. The insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual coating over fine-grain solid carbide substrate, providing wear resistance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous cutting applications. Two cutting edges are available per insert. The chip breaker designation is M14. Licensed machinists and CNC mill operators working in job shop or production environments are the primary installers of this insert.
This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. Primary workpiece material codes are P, K, and S; secondary codes are K and N. The parallelogram geometry and positive rake promote efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces on medium to finishing passes. It is used in face milling, shoulder milling, and general-purpose milling operations where a high-performance indexable insert is required on compatible cutter bodies.
Compatible with SECO cutter series R217.69-18 and R220.69-18. ANSI and ISO code XOMX180620TR-M14 per ISO standards.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key torque driver as specified by the cutter body manufacturer for the insert clamping screw. Inspect the insert pocket seat and clamping screw condition before seating a new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
