The SECO 02410926 is a solid carbide turning insert in the LCE series, designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. The insert features a dual-layer TiAlN and TiN PVD coating applied over a micrograin carbide substrate, delivering enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability across a broad range of workpiece materials. At 0.306 inches in length with a 0.008-inch corner radius, this right-hand insert carries an LCEX insert style in a 90-degree irregular shape. It is held in place via a screw-clamping method and carries manufacturer grade CP500. Licensed machinists, CNC operators, and toolroom technicians install this insert in compatible turning toolholders.
This insert is rated for universal primary workpiece material compatibility, covering ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S. That range includes hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous materials, carbon and alloy steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. The LCE series is suited to light to medium finishing and semi-finishing turning passes where consistent edge life and dimensional accuracy are priorities. The X-style chip breaker geometry assists in chip control across these varied material groups. This insert conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards, with ISO code LCEX080402-0310R-N45.
Designed for use in LCEX-style screw-clamp turning toolholders conforming to ANSI and ISO insert seating standards. Compatible with ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S workpieces.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and manufacturer-specified clamping screws to seat the insert securely in the pocket without over-tightening. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping components for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
