The SECO 02008 is a square tool bit blank ground from WKE45-grade cobalt high-speed steel. It measures 5/16 inches wide by 5/16 inches high with an 8-inch overall length. Tool bit blanks are unground cutting tool stock used by machinists and tool grinders to fabricate custom lathe tools, form tools, and single-point cutters. The WKE45 cobalt grade offers increased heat resistance and wear resistance compared to standard M2 high-speed steel, making it well suited for interrupted cuts and harder work materials.
