The SECO 00096106 is a replaceable tip milling shank designed for use with the Minimaster series interchangeable head milling system. Built to the MM06 toolholder style, this straight shank accepts Minimaster MM06 milling tips and is intended for use in machining centers and milling machines where quick tip changeover without full tool replacement is required. The shank features a 0.5 inch keyway shank diameter, a 0.386 inch neck diameter, and an overall length of 2.56 inches. A Weldon flat is included for secure setscrew retention in the spindle. Licensed machinists and tooling setup technicians are the primary users of this component.
This shank is suited for production and job shop milling applications where Minimaster replaceable tip tooling is in use. The MM06 tip style supports a range of end mill geometries available in the Minimaster system. With a maximum cutting diameter of 0.5 inch and an effective cutting length of 0.196 inches, this shank is appropriate for light to moderate material removal in steel, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials. It is compatible with standard toolholding equipment that accepts straight keyway shanks in 0.5 inch diameter.
Designed for use with SECO Minimaster MM06 series replaceable milling tips. Compatible with toolholding equipment accepting a 0.5 inch straight keyway shank. Specific machine or collet compatibility should be verified against the toolholder bore and setscrew location prior to installation.
Installation and tool setup should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians following the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before installing or removing the shank. Ensure the Weldon flat is correctly aligned with the setscrew before tightening to prevent shank rotation under load. Inspect the mating tip seat and retention threads for debris or wear before attaching a Minimaster tip head.
