The SECO 00090332 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill from the SD100 series, designed for high-performance hole-making in steel and similar P-category workpiece materials. The drill features a 17.5mm diameter cutting tip with a 140-degree included point angle and a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process. The tip stands 13.3mm high and integrates through-coolant delivery to manage heat and chip evacuation at the cutting zone. This tooling is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in production and job shop environments.
The SD100 series replaceable tip drill is built for use in CNC machining centers and turning centers where consistent bore quality and fast tool changes are priorities. It is well suited to drilling steel and steel alloys in applications where through-coolant capability is required to maintain tool life and maintain hole tolerances. The modular tip design allows tip replacement without removing the drill body from the spindle, reducing changeover time on the floor.
Designed for use with SD100 series drill bodies compatible with the 17.5mm replaceable tip interface. Primary workpiece material designation is P-category steel.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists following the machine tool manufacturer's torque and interface specifications for the SD100 body. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before replacing the tip. Confirm through-coolant passages are clear before operation. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool operating guidelines when setting tool offsets and coolant pressure.
