The SECO 00086117 is a solid carbide grooving insert in the LCMF series, designed for precision external grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to ISO standards, this insert carries the CP500 grade designation with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating over a micrograin carbide substrate. The neutral hand orientation and positive 7-degree rake angle promote clean chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. A cutting width of 0.1969 inches (5.00 mm) and a corner radius of 0.0160 inches make it well suited for tight-tolerance groove profiles. This insert is rated for universal primary workpiece material compatibility, covering material codes H, K, M, N, O, P, and S — spanning cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, stainless steel, general steel, hardened materials, and superalloys.
