The SECO 00083407 is a solid carbide milling insert in the 335.19-11 series, designed for indexable milling cutters used in metal removal applications across industrial machining environments. The insert carries the ANSI/ISO designation 335.19-1103-M08 and is manufactured from fine-grain solid carbide with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual coating. The square profile features four cutting edges with a neutral hand orientation, a negative rake angle of 15 degrees, and a honed cutting edge style. The M08 chip breaker geometry is engineered to manage chip formation across a range of workpiece materials. This insert is handled and installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC milling operations.
The 00083407 is intended for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. It is rated primarily for steel (P), cast iron (K), and superalloys and titanium (S) classifications, with secondary suitability for cast iron (K) and non-ferrous metals (N). Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and general metal removal in both production and job-shop environments where a versatile, multi-material insert is required. The insert is secured in the cutter body by a screw-holding method and is compatible with 335.19-series milling cutter bodies.
