The SECO 00075882 is a laydown threading insert designed for internal partial profile threading operations on steel workpieces. Built from solid carbide with a TiAlN/TiN PVD coating, this insert carries the CP300 manufacturer grade and ISO material grade C6. It is configured for right-hand cutting with a 60-degree included angle and covers a thread range of 7 to 5 TPI (3.50 to 5.00 mm pitch). The 1/2-inch inscribed circle and 0.1854-inch thickness place it in a standard laydown form factor used across CNC turning and threading applications. Installation and use are handled by machinists and toolroom technicians working with indexable insert toolholders.
This insert is suited for internal threading on steel components in precision machining environments, including job shops, production turning cells, and toolroom applications. It belongs to the Snap Tap series and is intended for use with compatible 22NR-style toolholders. The right-hand configuration and 60-degree thread form make it applicable to standard unified and metric thread profiles within its TPI range. Primary workpiece material is steel, designated by material code P under ISO classification.
Designed for use with 22NR-style laydown threading toolholders compatible with the Snap Tap series. Verify toolholder pocket geometry and insert seating before use.
Indexable insert replacement is performed by machinists using an appropriate torx or hex key to seat the insert securely in the toolholder pocket. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Inspect the pocket seat and clamping components for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for this insert style.
