The insert is configured in the 27ER style with a 4 threads-per-inch (TPI) pitch and conforms to the API V 0.050 thread standard, making it suitable for oil and gas component threading. The inscribed circle measures 5/8 inches (0.6250 inches decimal) and thickness is 0.2421 inches. Right-hand cutting orientation. Seat the insert fully in the toolholder pocket and torque the clamping screw per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the seating surface for chips or debris before clamping, as contamination can affect thread form accuracy. Follow all applicable shop safety procedures when handling carbide inserts, as edges are sharp and the material is brittle under impact.
