The SECO 00073924 is a right-hand, neutral-rake indexable turning toolholder designed for external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built to the SCLC toolholder style, it accepts CCMT 32.52 inserts secured by a screw-clamp holding method for positive, repeatable insert location. The shank measures 1 inch wide by 1 inch tall, with an overall length of 6 inches and a head length of 0.67 inches. A 95-degree lead angle and neutral 0-degree rake geometry make this holder a general-purpose workhorse for a broad range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC setup technicians install this type of toolholder in turning centers and engine lathes.
This toolholder is suited for turning operations across a wide spectrum of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, high-temperature alloys, and other universal material groups corresponding to ISO material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its right-hand cutting direction makes it appropriate for standard left-to-right turning passes. This toolholder is installed by machinists or CNC setup technicians into a lathe or turning center tool post or turret that accepts a 1-inch square shank. Ensure the machine spindle is stopped and all motion is locked out before installing or indexing inserts. Use the appropriate insert screw torque driver recommended by the insert manufacturer to seat the CCMT insert without over-torquing the clamp screw. Verify tool centerline height before initiating a cut.
