Built from steel, this right-hand toolholder features a rectangular shank measuring 0.566 inches in height and 0.625 inches in width, with an overall length of 6.0 inches. It accepts two 16NR inserts held in place by a screw-clamp method, providing repeatable insert indexing and consistent thread form geometry. The toolholder belongs to the Snap Tap series and is intended for installation by machinists and CNC operators in production or job-shop turning environments.
This toolholder is suited for internal threading applications where bore access is required. A minimum bore diameter of 0.75 inches is needed to run this holder, and the head length of 1.5 inches accommodates typical thread depth requirements in both production and maintenance turning scenarios. The toolholder style is SN, compatible with 16NR inserts in a 3/8-inch inscribed circle size. It does not include a coolant-through port, making it appropriate for standard external flood coolant setups. The multi-use design supports both threading and turning cuts from a single holder configuration.
