It carries a multilayer TiAlN and TiN PVD coating that resists heat and wear during demanding cuts. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape with a positive rake geometry and a sharp cutting edge style, producing a 0.0039 inch corner radius. With 2 cutting edges and an inscribed circle of 0.375 inches, this insert is sized for toolholders requiring the CPMT 32.50 industry standard seat. Licensed machinists and CNC operators typically install and index this insert as part of routine tool management.
This insert is engineered primarily for stainless steel and superalloys including titanium, with secondary suitability for steel and cast iron. It supports boring, facing, and turning operations, making it a versatile option in job shop and production turning environments. The F1 chip breaker geometry is optimized for finishing and light-to-medium cuts on difficult-to-machine materials. The neutral hand orientation allows use in both left-hand and right-hand toolholder setups where the CPMT insert pocket is specified. Material grade classifications M01, M10, M20, S10, and S20 define the recommended cutting condition range.
Designed for use in CPMT-style toolholders conforming to ANSI and ISO seating standards for 80-degree diamond inserts with a 3/8 inch inscribed circle. Compatible toolholders must accept screw-held inserts with a P clearance code and M tolerance code per the CPMT pocket specification.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians.
