The SECO 00061873 is a right-hand indexable grooving toolholder built for the Multi-Directional Turning (MDT) series. It handles a maximum depth of cut of 0.413 inches and a groove width of 0.157 inches. The toolholder measures 12 inches in overall length with a shank width of 1.211 inches and a shank height of 1.171 inches. Compatible with LC..1304.. inserts, including LCMF and LCMR styles, it uses a clamp-style insert holding method. Through-coolant capability is built in, supporting higher cutting speeds and longer insert life when machining cast iron and similar materials. Manufactured from steel, this is a production-grade tool intended for CNC lathe and turning center applications.
The 00061873 is designed for non-face grooving operations on CNC turning centers where right-hand cutting direction is required. It is suited for boring and grooving applications with a minimum bore diameter of 1.26 inches and a minimum hole diameter of 1.26 inches. The back of bar to cutting edge and center to cutting edge distances are both 1.000 inch, supporting consistent tool offset setup. Primary workpiece material classification is cast iron (material code K), though the MDT platform supports multi-directional turning strategies across a range of materials.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician.
