The SECO 00059767 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill designed for precision hole-making in steel workpieces. Part of the SD100 series, it features a 12.41mm cutting diameter and a 140-degree included point angle, geometry that reduces entry forces and promotes chip evacuation in medium to high-production environments. The TiAlN coating is applied via PVD process, providing thermal resistance and extended tool life under demanding cutting conditions. Through-coolant capability delivers coolant directly to the cutting zone, reducing heat buildup and improving chip flushing in deep-hole applications. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, or general metal fabrication will find this tip a direct fit for SD100-compatible drill bodies.
This replaceable tip is designed for use on steel workpieces, corresponding to ISO material group P. The SD100 series system uses a self-centering, torque-transmitting interface between the tip and the drill body, making tip changes fast without removing the body from the spindle. Typical applications include structural steel components, carbon steel shafts, and low-alloy steel parts where hole position tolerance and surface finish inside the bore are critical. This tip is sold individually per package, with a minimum order quantity of two units.
Designed for use with SECO SD100 series replaceable tip drill bodies accepting a 12.41mm tip. Intended for primary use in ISO P-group steel workpiece materials as indicated by the P geometry designation.
Installation and tip changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine in an e-stop or powered-down state and the spindle fully stopped. Ensure the drill body interface is clean and free of chips or debris before seating the tip, as contamination at the interface affects runout and tip retention. Consult the SECO SD100 assembly instructions for recommended torque procedure on the tip-locking mechanism. Do not exceed the drill body manufacturer's rated cutting parameters for this tip diameter.
