The SECO 00059691 is a carbide replaceable tip drill designed for high-productivity hole-making in steel and similar ferrous workpiece materials. It features a solid carbide tip with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, delivering excellent wear resistance and heat tolerance at the cutting edge. The 140-degree included point angle promotes self-centering and reduces thrust load on entry. At 18.80mm in diameter with a tip height of 14.40mm (0.5669 inches), this drill is part of the established SD100 series and is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals in CNC drilling operations.
This drill is suited for production drilling in steel (ISO P workpiece material code) in both vertical machining centers and horizontal CNC platforms. The through-coolant design directs cutting fluid directly to the tip, supporting chip evacuation and thermal management during deep-hole and high-feed drilling cycles. The SD100 series replaceable tip format allows tip changes at the machine without removing the drill body, reducing downtime in high-volume environments. Confirm through-coolant passages are clear and unobstructed before returning the tool to service.
