Built to Series 150.10 specifications, it features a 0.122 inch cutting width and a PVD-applied TiAlN/TiN dual-layer coating that extends tool life across a wide range of workpiece materials. The neutral lead angle and 0-degree relief angle make it a stable, predictable choice for high-repetition cutoff work. This insert is suited for cutoff and parting applications on universal workpiece materials, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals common in general machining. Installation of carbide cutoff inserts should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, tagged-out state. Seat the insert fully in the clamp pocket and verify the clamping screw torque is appropriate for the toolholder manufacturer's specification before resuming cutting. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating a new insert, as contamination in the pocket can cause premature edge failure or insert fracture. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines for insert changes.
