Built from solid carbide and finished with a PVD-applied TiAlN/TiN coating, this insert carries SECO grade CP500, which is rated for universal workpiece materials including steel, stainless, cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, and high-temp alloys. It cuts left-hand threads at 8 threads per inch (TPI) with a 60-degree included angle, making it a direct-fit solution for shops producing UN-standard external threads. The 3/8-inch inscribed circle (IC) and 0.1366-inch thickness match the 16EL insert style geometry. This insert is intended for external left-hand UN thread generation on CNC turning centers and engine lathes.
