The SECO 00045933 is a laydown threading insert designed for right-hand internal UN thread cutting operations. Manufactured from solid carbide in the CP500 grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN/TiN coating, this insert delivers consistent thread form geometry on a wide range of workpiece materials. It produces 60-degree included angle UN threads at 18 threads per inch (TPI), with a 1/4-inch inscribed circle and a thickness of 0.1181 inches. The 11NR insert style seats flat in compatible Snap-Tap toolholders. This insert is specified by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC lathe operators working to UN thread standards.
This insert is suited for internal threading on lathes and turning centers handling universal workpiece material classifications including cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, carbon steel, and heat-resistant superalloys (ISO material codes K, M, N, P, and S). The CP500 grade with PVD coating is well suited to both light production and general-purpose threading where consistent flank wear resistance is required.
