It features a neutral rake angle of 0 degrees and accepts CCMT 432 inserts secured by a screw-lock clamping method. The shank measures 1 inch wide by 1 inch tall with an overall length of 5 inches, making it a compact and rigid platform suited for external turning applications. Toolholder material is steel, providing the strength and vibration resistance required for consistent insert seating. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary installers of this toolholder.
This toolholder is built for external turning on a wide range of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, high-temperature alloys, and superalloys, corresponding to material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H. It is a single-application, non-coolant-through design, suited for standard flood or mist coolant environments in production and job-shop turning cells. The screw-lock insert retention system provides positive clamping with minimal tool setup time between insert changes.
Accepts CCMT 432 (CC..43.) inserts. Compatible insert inscribed circle is 0.5 inches. Designed for use with standard 1 inch by 1 inch tool post or turret block holders on CNC or manual lathes configured for left-hand turning.
This toolholder is installed and adjusted by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Before changing inserts or mounting the toolholder, power down the machine and engage the spindle lock per machine tool manufacturer guidelines.
